WINGS OF CHANGE - 2020
Private Residence, southwest coast of Finland
Outdoor sculpture.
Wings of Change is installed on the grounds of a privately owned estate. The “sail” spins freely in the wind around its axle. The solar panels produce electricity stored in batteries giving power to light up the (constantly moving) sculpture. The entire system is integrated in the piece itself.
Height: 7,5 metres/24 feet, max width: 5 metres/16 feet.
Vertical axle (=post): Stainless steel. Sail structure: welded stainless roundstock. The “skin”: transluscent fiberglass. Integrated lights are LED.
